Home Breech Birth

I first met this mom when she was 37 weeks. She had heard about me, as I had done more then 70 births in her little community, and heard that I might do a breech. I asked about her previous births, all normal hospital vaginal births. I asked her about her desires, and commitment to having her first home and BREECH birth. Olga, 25, didn't want a cesarean, which she was being told by all other traditional caregivers. Although Olga was scared a bit, she knew that I had recently done a twin birth just 3 blocks away, and the 2nd. twin was a footling breech.

On March 25, she called. Although Olga was a bit shy, and reserved, My full of enthusiasm apprentice talked Ogla into letting us take photos of her birth.

Here are the photos, hot off of the scanner.

With her daughters, was taking the 1st. day that we met.

6 hours after we arrived, she is pushing, and this foot appears!

a bit more.

it's a boy!

another small push...

Finally the body is almost out

I catch Olga crying, as her emotions pour out..

The moment that we all live for, to see your mom smiling with her newborn.
